The Lisbon Stock Exchange began this Wednesday’s session with an appreciation of 0.53%, reaching 8,159.44 points, following a positive trend in most European stock exchanges.
Among the highlighted actions, the Mota-Engil leads the rises, with an increase of 5.4%, priced at 5.48 euros, driven by the recent revelation of contracts worth 735 million euros with Petrobras.
EDP Renováveis continues with growth of 1.38%, reaching 12.51 euros, while Banco Comercial Português (BCP) rises 0.93%, reaching 0.75 euros. Other companies on the rise include EDP, Jerónimo Martins, Corticeira Amorim, Navigator and Galp Energia.
In contrast, the CTT recorded the biggest drop, with a devaluation of 1.96%, to 7.02 euros. Sonae also presents negative results, falling 1.02% to 1.35 euros, while Altri falls 0.42%, standing at 4.78 euros. NOS is also in negative territory.
In the European panorama, the main exchanges follow an upward trend, except for the AEX index in the Netherlandswhich fell 0.51%, to 955.85 points. The DAX (Germany) rises 0.09%, reaching 24,410.64 points, the CAC 40 (France) increases 0.21%, to 7,991.79 points, and the FTSE 100 (United Kingdom) grows 0.30%, to 9,511.95 points. The IBEX 35 (Spain) and the FTSE MIB (Italy) also show increases of 0.39% and 0.38%, respectively.
In relation to the oil market, Brent rose 0.96%, reaching 66.08 dollars, while crude rose 1.09%, reaching 62.40 dollars.
Finally, the euro registers a devaluation of 0.34% against the dollarstanding at 1.16185 dollars, and a drop of 0.12% against the pound, standing at 0.86707 pounds.
