Las minister Loretta Ortiz Ahlf y Yasmín Esquivel Mossaas well as the minister Giovanni Azael Figueroa Mejíapresented different works in the 39th edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL)reaffirming its commitment to the dissemination of legal culture.
Minister Ortiz Ahlf commented on the book she co-authored Comments on the Inter-American Convention on Human Rightswhere he warned that, if international instruments are not applied to protect people’s rights, the problem of legitimacy of justice will persist.

For her part, Minister Esquivel Mossa presented her book Mom, in your absence, who is there for me?in which he highlighted the situation of abandonment that, in many cases, the children of women face victims of feminicide. At the event she was accompanied by Minister Ortiz Ahlf.
The minister Figueroa Mejiawhen talking about the book Expansion and recognition of (new) rights by the Constitutional Courtsprepared by 14 co-authors from different regions of the country, pointed out that the idea that judges are “the silent mouth of the law” has already been overcome; That is, “they should only limit themselves to applying the legal system to specific cases.” Returning to that vision, he warned, would be a setback.
