The 50 best restaurants in Latin America were announced and Mexico managed to position eight restaurants on the list of the “Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants” from CDMX, Guadalajara, Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe, Tulum and Mérida.

This prestigious position is held by El Chato, a restaurant in Bogotá, Colombia. According to the same 50 Best page, it “brings a fresh, contemporary Colombian spirit to Bogotá’s dining scene, with chef Álvaro Clavijo spotlighting the country’s producers through globally inspired technique and relaxed bistro-style warmth.”
