The 50 best restaurants in Latin America were announced and Mexico managed to position eight restaurants on the list of the “Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants” from CDMX, Guadalajara, Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe, Tulum and Mérida.

Antigua, Guatemala, was the city that received the 2025 edition of the “Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants” list, which, As its name indicates, it recognizes the best gastronomic establishments in the Latin region.

The award ceremony took place this December 2 at Casa Santo Domingo and the first time the awards have been held in Guatemala since the list’s creation in 2013.

This prestigious position is held by El Chato, a restaurant in Bogotá, Colombia. According to the same 50 Best page, it “brings a fresh, contemporary Colombian spirit to Bogotá’s dining scene, with chef Álvaro Clavijo spotlighting the country’s producers through globally inspired technique and relaxed bistro-style warmth.”
