Mexico City. – The mayor of Alvaro Obregon, Javier Lopez Casarinhighlighted that he received one of the ALMA awards of the Association of Municipalities of Mexico (AMMAC) chaired by Nallely Gutiérrez. The reason was the implementation of failed government projects, in addition to the fact that the same association has been in dispute over the name and accusations of the lack of validity of the awards.

Lopez Casarin declared that he received the award for Innovation in Public Policies with the University Cluster that makes alliances between schools and the private sector, in addition to the Water Factory. This last policy seeks to clean up ravines, rivers and dams to capture rainwater that can be used, but in the process, Mayor Álvaro Obregón has failed.
The Becerra Dam was one of the first bodies of water that the government of Lopez Casarin Sanitation work began in April, but between the rains of June and August, the dam overflowed due to the accumulation of garbage. The water level damaged houses in the Lomas de Becerra neighborhood and prevented mobility in ten other neighborhoods. In the streets near the channel, landslides were also reported.
The AMMAC association that gave recognition to the López Casarín government is chaired by Nallely Gutiérrez, former political advisor of the PRI. Since 2023, it promotes ALMA awards, However, he maintains a dispute with Claudia Vázquez Luna, who also claims to be president of an association with the same name AMMAC. He even pointed out in 2023 that the first edition of the awards did not participate, because instead of recognizing projects, it seeks to offer the winners image promotion plans of up to 250 thousand pesos.
