The Band Limp Biskit announced the death of their bassist, Sam Riversat 48 years old, through his social networks, with a message in which they described him as a ‘being of light’.
On the band’s account, they wrote that Sam ‘transmitted magic not only through music, but also with his personality.’

“Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat. Sam Rivers wasn’t just our bassist, it was pure magic. The pulse beneath each song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound,” his message reads.
Next to Fred Durst, Sam Rivers was a key player in the formation of the Metal band, he joined them later John Otto to bring Limp Biskit to life.

“Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous. It was a type of human that can only be done once in a lifetime.. A true legend of legends.” they added.
Regarding the cause of death, it is known that Sam Rivers suffered from some liver ailments, as well as some kind of cancer, although it is unknown if it was one of these conditions that caused his death.
