Fans celebrate the life and work of one of the greatest Mexican singer-songwriters

CDMX. In an unprecedented event, Netflix and the Government of CDMX, brought together more than 170 thousand attendees of all generations, who with one voice, chanted the concert that was recorded 35 years ago in Bellas Artes, also showing unpublished scenes from the iconic show. The remembrance of the songs of Divo of Juarezthrough live streaming Plinth Capital of the concert he offered in 1990 at the Palace of Fine Arts, also with unpublished scenes from the documentary serial Netflix Juan Gabriel: I must, I can and I want, which is also number one in views on the platform, completely filled the most important square in the country, which once again surrendered to the singer before his charisma and beautiful songs.

Minutes before the start of the screening, María José Cuevas, the director of the documentary John Gabriel: I must, I can and I want, accompanied by producers Laura Woldenberg and Ivonne Gutiérrez, sang and danced with the attendees at the entrance. To the first images of the Juanga concert, the Plinth resounded, everyone remained silent and with the first verses of ‘I was not born to love’, they wanted to save that moment and then explode in the chorus of the song: yooo noooo naacííí paaaraaa aaamaaar! From that moment on, the Zócalo choir was packed and the enjoyment was a continuous communion.
The celebration concluded with the presentation of the Mariachi Estrella de América, at which time Alicia González, the fan who stole our hearts in the third episode of the documentary, demonstrated that love for John Gabriel lasts a lifetime, reliving the moment in which she sang I don’t know what happened to me, but this time accompanied by her daughter and granddaughter.
