Data from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System detail that the GAM achieved a 31 percent decrease in homicides, 37 percent in violent vehicle theft and 42 percent in firearm injuries, figures that place the mayor’s office as a benchmark for security and effective governance.
The mayor also highlighted the construction of the first Intelligence Center with 4,500 cameras, the acquisition of 112 patrol cars, the creation of the first two EDEN’es (the public parks that have everything), the delivery of heavy machinery to workers and the use of 71 thousand tons of asphalt to turn the GAM into the mayor’s office that repaved and patched the most streets. Added to this is the creation of 40 kilometers of Safety, Peace and Hope trails.
“There was work, discipline and love for our land. From Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum we learned that power only makes sense when it is given to the people, and from our Head of Government, Clara Brugada, that governing is a profound act of love for those who need it most,” he stated.
