Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation army renewed its violations in the Quneitra Governorate, southwestern Syria, through an incursion by its forces and the establishment of a security checkpoint in one of the governorate’s villages.
The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that 9 Israeli military vehicles set off from the Al-Hamidiyah point and moved towards the town of Al-Hurriya, reaching the village of Ovania, before heading towards the Jourat Al-Sheikh agricultural farm located between Ovania and Tal Ahmar.
Another force, consisting of 4 military vehicles, penetrated from the Burj point in the city of Quneitra towards the village of Al-Samadaniya Al-Gharbiya, where it established a military checkpoint at the site of the demolished water tank between the towns of Al-Ajraf and Al-Samadaniya Al-Sharqiya, coinciding with additional Israeli movements towards the villages of Al-Ajarf and Rasm Al-Halabi.

These developments come in light of the escalation of Israeli violations in the region, as residents complain of repeated incursions into their agricultural lands, the destruction of large areas of forests, in addition to setting up checkpoints, searching passers-by, and arresting a number of citizens.
There was no immediate comment from the Syrian government regarding the nature of today’s incursion and its results, but Damascus has repeatedly condemned the repeated Israeli violations of its sovereignty, stressing its commitment to the disengagement agreement between the two sides in 1974, which Israel announced its collapse after the fall of the regime of ousted President Bashar al-Assad in late 2024.
The occupation army has intensified its operations inside Syrian territory over the past months, including air strikes targeting military and civilian sites, leading to casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.
