With the priority of strengthening the epidemiological surveillance In the State of Campeche, the Ministry of Health carried out a health drill in facilities of the Comprehensive Port Administration (API) Seybaplaya with the topic: Notification of suspected case of MPOX (monkeypox) at an international maritime entry point.
The objective of this exercise is to strengthen the response capacity of the institutions of the health sector, in the face of a health alert that threatens the well-being of the people of Campeche, so the simulation was carried out on a real scale with the direct intervention of doctors, paramedics, administrative and operational personnel from various institutions, as well as a volunteer as a simulated patient.

The activity was carried out from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., from the arrival of the boat, primary inspection by suspected case in patient with MPOX and without prior notice through official communication channels. The incident command, inter-institutional coordination and communication for medical care, quarantine and disinfection were activated, until the simulated patient was transferred to the medical unit, official notification to International Health, State Epidemiology and port authorities.
