The Government of the State of Hidalgo concluded with historic results the seventh edition of the National Fair of Magical Towns 2025held in Pachuca de Sotoregistering a 4.9% increase in attendance, reaching 62 thousand 941 visitorsas well as a total economic spill of 67 million 505 thousand pesosa figure that represents a growth of 14.6% compared to the previous year.
During the official ceremony, the undersecretary of Federal tourism, Nathalie Desplas Puelrepresenting the secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamorahanded the baton to the state of Tamaulipas, which will host the National Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos 2026.
In her message, the official widely recognized the Hidalgo organization and stated that “in Pachuca they know about flea markets,” highlighting the unity between the community, the tourism sector and authorities.

The meeting recorded more than 12,130 business appointments attended by 385 national buyersachieving a volume greater than 26 million pesos in transactions inside the enclosure. Likewise, the external spill was calculated in 24 million 362 thousand pesosand domestic consumption—food, drinks, crafts and traditional medicine—added 16 million 775 thousand pesoswith an average daily expense of 503 pesos per visitor.

The secretary of Hidalgo Tourism, Elizabeth Quintanar Gomezhighlighted that this edition of the flea market was the most successful so far, the result of the coordinated work of the technical, operational and tourist intelligence areas. Likewise, he highlighted the actions carried out to guarantee a socially responsible event, such as the planting of 47 thousand 250 treesa measure intended to compensate for the 152 tons of waste generated during the days of activities.
For his part, the Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguezrecognized Hidalgo for the extraordinary organization and stated that the next edition of the tianguis—which will take place in Tampico in 2026— will represent an opportunity to strengthen this national platform and consolidate new tourism development links.
