In an interview, Trejo stated that Mexico City has a delay in preventive maintenance and corrective of the infrastructure in general and that does not allow real progress to be contemplated.
“The ingredient we are missing today in our Mobility Law is road safety: speed limits, complete streets, expansion of bike lanes and safe corner design,” he said.
The Mobility Law must be harmonized with federal regulations
Pablo Trejo reiterated that one must harmonize the Mobility Law with the federal standard and “that will set the tone to bring resources closer to these issues… the Mobility Law already harmonized is expected to be available in January or February of next year, that is the goal.”

“If we do not take care of children from their earliest stage, it is very difficult for us to have citizens who can develop their potential, so we are looking for shelters to have the best conditions so that infants can develop and reintegrate into society,” he mentioned.
The proposal seeks to fully harmonize local regulations with the General Law on the Rights of Girls, Boys and Adolescentsputting the best interests of children as the guiding principle.
