Other famous cases

On June 23, 2022, telephone conversations were leaked, where the Prosecutor asked Emilio Lozoya Thalmann, father of Emilio Lozoya Austin, former director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), to withdraw from an injunction while they were negotiating the criteria of opportunity and Javier Coello Trejo pressured him to have his son Emilio change his lawyer at the time.

In the case of Lozoya Austin, the FGR did not make substantial progress in obtaining sentences in the case of alleged case of corruption by the construction company Odebrecht against Mexican officials during political campaigns.

On April 22, 2022, according to Mexicans Against Corruption, Julio Scherer, former legal advisor to the Presidency, filed a complaint against Gertz Manero for the crimes of influence peddling and criminal association.

Scherer stated that, in October 2021, the Prosecutor asked him to request before the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) that The protections promoted by Laura Morán and Alejandra Cuevas were denied and Scherer opposed.

On February 10, 2020 at the conference of the then President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, The Prosecutor delivered a check for two billion pesos to the then head of the Institute to Return Stolen Things to the People (Indep), Ricardo Rodríguez Vargas.

This is a case that was being investigated and that these funds will be used to pay for the raffle prizes related to the presidential plane. In February 2022, that amount returned to Infonavit, to which it belonged since it was obtained as part of reparation for damage to the Institute.
