Zapopan PoliceJalisco concluded a training in charge of the French National Police to control demonstrations and riots, with a view to the soccer World Cup to be held in 2026.

Mexico will host the World Cup along with the United States and Canada, from June 11 to July 19. The country will host in total 13 matches distributed between Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajaracapital of Jalisco.

For its part, Jalisco will host four games in it Akron Stadiumlocated in Zapopan, which is part of the metropolitan area of ​​Guadalajara.

According to local authorities, 65 elements from various corporations of security of Jalisco received training in the management of “Crowds during Demonstrations and Major Sports Events.”

The exercises lasted two weeks and were led by instructors from the Republican Security Companies (CRS)a division of the French Police with World Cup experience football and Olympic games.

“We understand that this international football match requires a prepared, humane and strategic policecapable of responding with professionalism to complex scenarios,” the Jalisco Security Secretary told the press, Juan Pablo Hernández González.

Finally, the training concluded with a riot drill in the stadium.
