The government of Tultitlan faces public questions during 2025, derived from official investigations, citizen complaints and reports from different sectors of the population. Neighbors, merchants and civil organizations point out “inconsistencies” in the work of areas such as Public Works, Urban Development, Public Security and Government Coordination.

According to documented information, the administration headed by municipal president Ana María Castro Fernández is being investigated for alleged irregularities in direct awards and tenders with a single supplier, which would exceed 70 million pesos. The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Corruption maintains an open file related to the purchase of 27 hectares in San Francisco Chilpan, an operation questioned due to lack of deeds and possible simulation.

It is worth remembering that months ago, residents of the Fimesa I, II and III neighborhoods held protests, blockades and neighborhood assemblies to reject the nomenclature change approved by the city council. Residents claim that the measure was taken without public consultation and denounced the use of public force to remove signs installed by the community itself.

The above adds to the current discontent in the commercial sector, where entrepreneurs and small businesses report alleged arbitrary closures and demands for irregular payments by municipal inspectors. The complaints They point to possible acts of extortion within the areas in charge of regulation and supervision.

Added to these disagreements are reports of an increase in crimes in residential and industrial areas of the municipality. Neighbors from various communities have demanded that patrols be reinforced and to respond to robberies, assaults and acts of violence recorded this year, considering that the institutional response has been insufficient.

Derived from these complaints accumulated, local organizations have requested state and inspection bodies to review the actions of municipal agencies. Their petition seeks to guarantee transparency, accountability and a comprehensive review of local government performance during 2025.
