Two men accused of sexual abuse were lynched by residents of San Martín Cuautlalpan; One was burned to death before neighbors reported abandonment.

Citizen fury once again overflowed in San Martín Cuautlalpan, municipality of Chalcowhere hundreds of inhabitants lynched to two alleged criminals accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
The events, which occurred on Thursday night in the El Llano neighborhood, show social fatigue in the face of impunity and inaction by local authorities.
According to witnesses, the individuals were chased by a crowd after being pointed out by neighbors. When they reached them on Revolución Avenue, they were beaten with sticks and stones; one lost his life after being doused with gasoline and set on fire, while the other was seriously injured and remains in hospital custody.
The National Guard and State Police arrived when the chaos had already boiled over. By then, cries for justice and shots in the air echoed through the streets, converted into the scene of collective revenge.
This episode, the residents assure, is not an isolated event, but rather the reflection of years of neglect, corruption and omissions on the part of the municipal government.
“This happens because the president Abigail Sanchez He never listens to people. He only appears when there are already dead people to pose for the cameras and calm the criticism,” reproached a neighbor who witnessed the events.
Others denounced that crime operates unchecked in the area and that abuses have become daily. “Here no one trusts the police or the delegates anymore, who only look out for their pockets,” added a resident of the El Llano neighborhood.
The accusations against the local government are direct: citizens assure that there is a network of corruption within the delegation, where officials such as Leticia Reguero Córdoba and Pedro Rayón have been accused of improper charges and abuse of authority. “They even charge to bury our relatives. There is no justice, only business,” denounced a neighbor through tears.
According to official data, crimes of robbery and sexual assault in the eastern region of the State of Mexico have grown more than 15% so far in 2025, while neighborhood complaints remain unanswered.
The inhabitants affirm that they have submitted letters, petitions and evidence to the City Council without obtaining a solution.
