car bomb explosion in Coahuayana

A new debate was generated in the Senate of the Republic among senators from Morena and the opposition, now due to the explosion of a car bomb last Saturday in coahuayanaMichoacán, which Morena ruled out that it is an affront to the federal government, while the opposition described it as “criminal terrorism”.

The coordinator of the senators of Morena, Adam Augusto Lopezdenied that this event, which caused the death of at least five people and 12 injuries, is an affront to the government.

“No, it is not a matter of affront to the government. We will have confidence that the authorities, in this case the prosecutor’s office, will close this investigation,” he declared.

López Hernández explained that the authorities are not afraid to classify the explosion as terrorism, but that the prosecutor’s offices have the power to review the investigation file and determine the correct classification.

Furthermore, he pointed out that Mexico does not face terrorism in general terms and that criminal acts are investigated within the framework of the law.

“No, it is not a fear of classifying it. As I tell you, the prosecutors’ offices, the prosecutors, have the power, once they review the integration of an investigation folder, to be able to reclassify them… I don’t see that there is terrorism.”

This is how Alejandro Moreno described the explosion in Michocán

Meanwhile, the senator and national president of the PRI, Alejandro Morenodescribed the explosion in Michocan and other recent acts of violence—drone bombs, extermination camps, and clandestine crematoriums—such as “criminal terrorism” and criticized the government of Morena.

“Car bombs, when have you seen that? That is terrorism, that is State terrorism, that is criminal terrorism, so today what we want is for there to be results, for it to be attended to, for it to be resolved and we have been pointing it out and the country is overwhelmed, the government of Morena and the Morena governments are overwhelmed, it’s not just us saying it. It would be clear that organized crime cartels are the ones in charge in this country,” he declared.

For his part, the coordinator of the senators of the National Action Party (PAN), Ricardo Anaya He said that this explosion shows that “violence is absolutely out of control and at the root of the problem are two things: Morena’s unconcealable links with organized crime… and the make-up of the figures.”

He considered that the car bomb explosion in Michoacan“it is one more confirmation that the problem is out of control and that it is urgent that Morena recognizes the problem so that we can all work together to solve it… for the government there is no violence, for the government there is no crime, for the government there is no terrorism, how can it not be an act of terror to explode a vehicle, of course it is an act of terror that seeks to intimidate.”
