On Sunday, the Belgian capital, Brussels, witnessed a massive demonstration demanding respect for the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and pressure on Israel to open the crossings and bring aid into the Strip.

The demonstrators also called on the Belgian government and the European Union to impose sanctions on Israel in light of the war crimes it committed in the Gaza Strip.

According to Anatolia News Agency, thousands of people gathered to protest against Israel’s continued violation of the ceasefire with its attacks on the Gaza Strip, demanding the imposition of a comprehensive military siege on it.

According to Anadolu Agency’s correspondent, thousands who began gathering in front of a train station in Brussels demanded the immediate suspension of the association agreement between the European Union and Israel.

The demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and later marched towards Jean Rey Square, which is close to the European Union institutions, and demanded the imposition of a comprehensive military blockade on Israel.

Participants also raised banners bearing phrases such as “Targeting civilians is not legitimate self-defense,” “Say no to genocide,” “Resist until liberation,” and “Rise for Palestine.”

On October 8, 2023, Israel began a war of genocide against the Palestinian Gaza Strip, which lasted two years and ended with a ceasefire agreement that entered into force on October 10, 2025, leaving more than 69,000 martyrs and more than 170,000 wounded.
