Google announced this Friday, November 14, the launch in Portugal of “Google AI Plus”, a new subscription plan focused on artificial intelligence, designed to “increase productivity and creativity”, according to the North American software giant.
The subscription combines productivity features such as 200 GB of “cloud” storage (shared between Google Photos, Drive and Gmail) and Gemini integration into Workspace applications such as Gmail, Docs and Sheets.
But the focus is on expanded access to Google’s most advanced creative tools, with higher limits for “Nano Banana,” Google’s name for its image generation and editing AI model. This template is integrated into Google Photos and allows complex edits through natural language commands.
The plan also gives access to the Whisk tool, which allows users to “remix” ideas, creating new images by combining separate images of subject, setting and style.
When it comes to video, subscribers will have greater access to Veo 3 Fast. This model, described by the company as being 30% faster than the standardis capable of generating short videos in less than a minute, even from a photo uploaded to the “cloud”. Its distinctive capacity is the generation of synchronized audio with the video, be it dialogue, music or sound effects. Access is complemented by the Flow tool, an “AI filmmaking” application (AI filmmaking tool).
In a statement sent to newsrooms, it is also mentioned that the subscription, which will cost 7.99 euros per month — 3.99 euros for the first two months — also includes higher limits on the NotebookLM platform.
As you would expect, as it is part of all Pro “packages”, access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro AI model and its “Deep Research” functionality is also included.
