The Jerusalem Governorate warned of a new expansion of the Adam settlement, north of occupied Jerusalem, and said that it contributes to besieging the Palestinian presence, while today, Wednesday, settlers carried out a series of attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and burned olive trees.
The Jerusalem Governorate explained that the occupation authorities issued two tenders to build 356 settlement units in the Adam settlement near the town of Jaba, north of Jerusalem.
The governorate confirmed that this step comes within the policy of settlement expansion with the aim of controlling the northeastern foothills of Jerusalem and besieging the Palestinian presence in order to achieve the so-called “Greater Jerusalem Project.”
Violations at Al-Aqsa and Al-Ibrahimi
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments documented a number of Israeli violations of Islamic holy sites in its monthly report issued on Wednesday.
The Ministry said that the occupation forces and settlers stormed the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque 27 times during last October, and the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque was prevented 96 times, and the mosque was closed for several days.

The Ministry stated that large numbers of settlers performed Talmudic prayers, bowed down, sang, and danced in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa. They also blew the trumpet, carried plant offerings, and dressed as the alleged temple priests.
The report indicated that the right-wing Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque with a number of members of the Knesset (Parliament) on the occasion of the “Joy of the Torah” holiday on October 22.
Army and settler attacks
On the other hand, Palestinians, including an elderly man and a woman, were injured in settler attacks in the south of the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday evening, and a young Palestinian man was injured by bullets from the occupation forces at the separation wall in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said, in a statement, that its crews dealt with two injuries to an elderly man and a woman as a result of settlers’ assault on them in the Masafer Yatta area, and they were transferred to the hospital.
Anatolia Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that settlers attacked the Batma gathering in Masafer Yatta, beat Palestinians, destroyed house furniture, and wrote racist slogans in Hebrew.
