Two Palestinians were martyred on Wednesday by occupation army fire in areas extending inside what is known as the yellow line in the Gaza Strip, while the occupation forces claimed to have assassinated 4 of what they described as “militants” and arrested two others in Rafah, south of the Strip.

This comes as the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that it received, through the International Committee of the Red Cross, the bodies of 15 martyrs released by the occupation authorities after the Palestinian factions handed over the body of an Israeli prisoner yesterday.

The Ministry of Health stated that the total number of bodies of martyrs that were delivered through the Red Cross reached 345 bodies.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered that handing over the body of the Israeli prisoner comes within the movement’s commitment to completely ending the exchange process, and to make continuous efforts to complete it despite the great difficulties.

In exchange for this commitment, the mediators demanded pressure to stop the occupation’s violations in order to implement the agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced earlier that it had identified the body of the prisoner who was returned from Gaza yesterday, and said that it belonged to Dror Or from the Be’eri settlement.

Martyrs

In the latest developments in the series of continuous targeting of civilians by surprise, despite the ceasefire agreement in force since the tenth of last October, a medical source at Al-Aqsa Hospital announced the martyrdom of a Palestinian in an Israeli bombing of Al-Maghazi camp.

A medical source at Nasser Hospital also reported that a Palestinian was martyred and another injured in an Israeli raid on the town of Bani Suhaila in Khan Yunis, inside the Yellow Line.

The Israeli army also claimed that Al-Nahal Brigade forces assassinated an armed man in an air strike in the Rafah area, south of the Gaza Strip, and also killed 3 others and arrested two.

He added that during the last week, his forces killed more than 20 militants and arrested 8 others as they tried to exit tunnels in that area.

It was also announced that a Hamas gunman was targeted in an air strike in the northern Gaza Strip, noting that the targeting occurred while the latter was planning to carry out a sniper operation against Israeli forces.

Earlier today, medical sources in Gaza announced that the death toll in the Strip had risen to 69,785 martyrs, the majority of whom were children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression on October 7, 2023.

Medical sources explained that the number of injured people also rose to 170,965, while a number of victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach them.

The toll of martyrs and wounded since the ceasefire agreement entered into force reached 347 martyrs and 889 wounded, while 596 bodies were recovered.
