The arrest was made known by Omar García Harfuchhead of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) on his X account (@OHarfuch) in which he detailed that the action is part of the National Strategy against Extortion.
“The Security Cabinet with authorities from Tabasco arrested 4 people for rent collection, 4 long weapons, tactical equipment and drugs were seized. With this strategy there have been more than 400 detainees for this crime from July to date,” he posted.
For its part, the SSPC reported that the arrest resulted from reconnaissance, security and surveillance tours in the municipality of Centro, where the agents observed 4 people “with unusual activity and, upon approaching, they realized that they were carrying long weapons, so they approached to carry out a more detailed inspection.”

After which, when high-powered weapons and Molotov cocktails were seized from them, they were all arrested and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to continue the investigations.
