A Hispanic user in TikTok became a trend after sharing the unusual reason that a man gave him for canceling a romantic date at the last minute: I didn’t have clean clothes.
The story, told with humor, but also with amazement, generated thousands of reactions due to all the details that the girl offered. He clarified that they met through a dating applicationcasually, but soon after they decided to leave the screen and meet in person.
The excuse that ruined everything
The protagonist of the story, of Argentine origin and who only identifies herself on the platform as Cami (@_mehire), explained that after meeting the boy on the app, both had been in constant conversation for several days.
According to him, he was the one who suggested meeting on a Tuesday to break the weekly routine and go out for a drink. Everything seemed to be going well until, when trying to confirm the time of the meeting, he received an unexpected message: “You’re going to kill me, I don’t have clean clothes, there are all the clothes to wash”.
Between amused and annoyed, the young woman shared her reaction to the camera: “How can you not have clean jeans? I’m not asking you for a tuxedo, a jean, a T-shirt!” His video accumulated more than 100,000 views in just a few hours.
Some users told him that the excuse was cheap, but perfect, depending on the occasion. For their part, others told him that life probably saved him from interacting with a person capable of breaking an engagement for not having clean clothes, which they considered unusual.
