Paola was best known for her well-documented story – fleeing her home country before applying for political asylum in the US.

The online star shared advice on settling in America – inspiring families to work for a better life for their children.

She had 237,000 TikTok followers, mostly Latinos living in the US, when she tragically died.

It comes after she bravely opened up about her cancer diagnosis last year.

She had been suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia since mid 2024.

Paola documented her experiences, sharing updates with followers and pledging to keep fighting so she could look after her children.

Despite courageously battling the disease for over a year, she died last week after contracting pneumonia.

Paola’s family have announced they will livestream her funeral on her TikTok page on October 2 and 3, so followers can join virtually.

They also asked fans to donate via Zelle to help cover funeral costs, estimated to be over £13,000.

The mum previously told fans how her personal move helped her eldest son, who suffers from an unspecified illness, as reported by NeedToKnow.

She said: “The treatment was available in California and I could afford it there.”

In an interview before her death, she said she appreciated the lifestyle and safety in the US the most.

Alongside her husband, she raised her two children to study hard and reach their full potential.

Meanwhile, Paola worked cleaning hotel rooms at the same time as creating content about her daily routines.

She said she earned more cleaning hotels in the US than she did working as a dentist in Venezuela.

The tragic loss comes after another TikTok influencer tragically died aged 28 after years documenting her cancer fight.

Natasha Allen died after a five year battle with stage four synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.

Natasha shared her brave battle with cancer to her adoring fans from the moment she was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in her knee in 2020 to her undergoing multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

The brave star went into remission briefly the following year before the cancer returned having tragically spread to her lungs.

News of Natasha’s death was shared on her Instagram and TikTok pages.

Paying an emotional tribute to the 28-year-old, the post read: “Natasha was a beautiful soul full of love, kindness, and joy.

“She touched countless hearts and she was a big advocate for synovial sarcoma awareness.”

It also comes after an up and coming TikTok star was found dead at her home with police investigating an alleged poison plot.

The heartbroken teenage daughter of Sumera Rajput has claimed her mum was murdered after being made to take laced tablets.
