To clarify, PhoneBuff carried out one of the more complete experiments until now: a robotic duel that faced six generations of iPhone under identical conditions.

The goal was to eliminate any human variation and measure actual performance from simple tasks to processes that require maximum power. The result offers a clear view of which models continue to perform well and which are beginning to show their limits.

To ensure identical conditions, all devices are configured with iOS 26, matched brightness and the same Wi-Fi signal strength. This allowed us to obtain a balanced analysis that does not depend on subjective sensations, but on exact times obtained by a machine.

Robotic methodology and first performance tests

The test was developed in two distinct phases. In the first, the robot opened tocommonly used applications, scanned QR codes and loaded office documents.
