OXKUTZCAB.- With blocks, wood and creativity, Civil Engineering students from the Higher Technological Institute of the South of the State of Yucatán (ITSSY) participated in the competitions for plans, concrete cylinders and wooden stick bridges, as part of the V Conference of Civil Engineering 2025-B.

During the tests, young people in the first, third, fifth and seventh semester showed their ability to apply the knowledge acquired in class by building functional structures with accessible materials.

One of the most anticipated challenges was the resistance test of bridges made with sticks, where participants tested the stability of their designs supporting real weight.

Teachers and students highlighted that these dynamics encourage critical thinking, teamwork and innovation, while strengthening the practical skills necessary in the field of civil engineering.

The day concluded with recognition of the teams that demonstrated greater technical precision and creativity in their projects.
