Around 20,000 euros worth of stolen items were found in the home of a 54-year-old woman in Lisbon. According to a statement from the Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis) of the Public Security Police (PSP), the citizen in question is suspected of committing the crime of qualified theft in three homes in the Lumiar area.
The articles seized by PSP agents will be part of the investigation. Present in court, preventive detention was applied as a measure of coercion.
A PSP made another three arrests of young people for committing crimes of qualified robbery. The minors detained are 16 and 17 years old. According to Cometlis, the crimes were committed near the Vasco da Gama shopping center, in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
Also according to this security force, physical force was used to commit robberies. Os most targeted goods were cell phones, cards, headphones and bags. In addition to the three detainees being young, the victims were also young, according to the PSP. The crimes occurred between October 24th and 26th, with the arrests being made on October 29th and published this weekend.
Also within the scope of the activities recently communicated by Cometlis to DN, a couple was approached in a vacant property, located in an area known for drug use. With the couple were three children, aged two, three and seven, “who had dirty clothes and had not been fed since the previous day”.
The property was “in an advanced state of unsanitary conditions, with waste, a strong odor of feces and urine, remains of aluminum foil and pipes, all accessible to children”. However, this location did not correspond to the residence where they lived. The PSP went to the house to check “the minimum safety and hygiene conditions, as well as the availability of food”. The children were reported to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ).
